LAHORE, April 3: Shoaib Akhtar will submit his appeal to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday against the five-year ban imposed on him by the board’s disciplinary committee on Tuesday.

Shoaib, who reached Lahore on Thursday to file the appeal, said a noted lawyer — Abid Hasan Minto — would defend his case. Minto had also defended Shoaib successfully in the 2006 doping case.

“I will fight (the case) till the end and for it I will go to higher courts also,” he asserted.
