KHAIRPUR, April 3: A young lawyer Mansoor Rahat committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed pistol while he was sitting in lawyers chamber in Khairpur on Thursday morning.

He was rushed to civil hospital Khairpur where he was operated upon but he breathed his last in the evening.

He was the son of renowned leftist progressive poet and former chairman department of Urdu, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, late Marghoob Rahat.

The motive behind the suicide could not be ascertained.
