PESHAWAR, April 3: NWFP Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti on Thursday allotted portfolios to his newly inducted 21-member cabinet.

Through a notification issued by the Establishment and Administration Department (E&AD) portfolios have been allotted to 12 ministers from Awami National Party and nine from Pakistan People’s Party.

According to the notification, Bashir Ahmad Bilour, the senior minister and parliamentary leader of ANP, has been given the portfolio of Local Government, Election and Rural Development Department.

Other ministers from ANP and their respective portfolios are: Arbab Muhammad Ayub Jan (Agriculture, Livestock and Cooperation), Mohammad Ayub Khan Ashari (Science and Technology and Information Technology), Barrister Arshed Abdullah (Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights), Mian Iftikhar Hussain (Higher Education and Schools and Literacy), Mian Nisar Gul Kakakhel (Prisons, Namroz Khan, Auqaf, Hajj, Religious and Minority Affairs), Sardar Hussain Babak (Information and Public Relations), Syed Aqil Shah (Sports, Culture, Tourism and Museums), Sitara Ayaz (Social Welfare and Women Development), Wajid Ali Khan (Environment) and Muhammad Zarshid Khan (Zakat and Usher Department).

Likewise, Rahimdad Khan, who is also serving as senior minister and parliamentary leader of PPP, has been allotted the portfolio of Finance and Planning and Development Department.

Other ministers of PPP and their respective portfolios are: Mohammad Hamayun Khan (Irrigation and Power), Liaqat Ali Shabab (Excise and Taxation), Saleem Khan (Population Welfare), Syed Ahmad Hussain Shah (Industries, Commerce, Mineral Development and Technical Education), Syed Zahir Ali Shah (Health), Mohammad Shuja Khan (Food) and Sher Azam Khan Wazir (Labour Department).
