DERA ISMAIL KHAN, April 3: Four persons, including a girl, were killed in two incidents in Tank district on Thursday.

Tank district police officer (DPO), Mumtaz Zareen, told Dawn that Ghulam Hussain, father of the killed girl, in his complaint, told the police that his son, Ghulam Hashim, had shot his unmarried sister and a brother-in-law dead in Cheena village of the district, after seeing them in an ‘objectionable’ position.

In another incident, two brothers were killed allegedly by their cousin at Magzai area in Tank over a petty dispute.

Local people said that the deceased — Abdullah Khan and Aziz Khan — were constructing a wall and were asked by their cousin, Khadi Khan, to stop the construction but they continued provoking Khan to fire at them resulting in their killing.
