KARACHI, April 1: People from various parts of the city on Tuesday complained of receiving contaminated water supply.

The affected localities included Buffer Zone’s Sector 15A/5 (North Karachi), adjoining People’s Colony and parts of old Golimar.

Residents of these localities said that the water being supplied to their areas for the last three days was yellowish in color with a bad odour.

Despite repeated complaints lodged with relevant KWSB officials, no action has been taken so far.

People residing in a high-rise apartment building ‘Al-Erum Foundation’ which is located in Buffer Zone’s Sector 15A/5, complained that the continuous supply of contaminated water had polluted their overhead and underground tanks.

They said that they were left with no choice but to purchase water through private tankers at exorbitant rates.
