Strike against blasphemy

By Our Correspondent

SANGHAR, March 31: A complete strike was observed here on Sunday in protest against the release of an anti-Islam film by a Dutch member of parliament and alleged desecration of pictures of Masjid-i-Nabavi.

The call for the strike was given by all the local chapter of religious parties. Sufi Abdul Haq, Mufti Mohammad Hussain Qadri and other religious leaders said that some elements in the West were deliberately producing material against Islam.

They demanded that the local man who had allegedly desecrated pictures of Masjid-i-Nabavi and used blasphemous language should be sentenced to death.

Police, meanwhile, have arrested Anees Mallah and registered a case against him.
