Two children drowned by mother

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 25: Two minor children were drowned on Monday when their mother Rukhsana Chohan jumped into Sada Wah near Bhirya Road. However, mother survived.

The deceased were three-year old girl Moona and her one year old brother Adnan. The bodies of children were not found till the filing of this report.

In-charge Bhirya police picket told Dawn that no entry had been made in the record. He said Rukhsana’s husband had two wives and she was facing trouble hence in desperation jumped into the canal along with two minor children.

Her father-in-law told reporters that she was deranged, as earlier also she tried to commit suicide.

The woman was not taken to a hospital.
