Curfew in Hangu

By Our Correspondent

HANGU, March 22: Authorities imposed curfew in Hangu on Saturday after four people were killed in clashes over celebrating the Nauroz festival on Friday. Twenty-seven others were wounded.

Officials said a ceasefire had been brokered with the help of local elders on Friday night and security forces had taken control of the city. They said the ceasefire would remain effective for five months.

Witnesses said that clashes had broken out in the town on Friday morning when militants attacked a sectarian group celebrating Nauroz festival. The firing triggered clashes between the two groups.
