LAKKI MARWAT: School exams after May 10

LAKKI MARWAT, March 15: The schools and literacy department (SLD), Lakki Marwat, has decided to conduct the annual examination from class first to eight after May 10 as the current academic session will end on May 31, official sources confided to Dawn on Saturday.

The examinations for grade V and VIII would be held under the supervision of principals and headmasters of government middle, high and higher secondary schools, the sources said.

They said that the head teachers and head mistresses of the boys and girls primary schools would conduct the annual examination from class first to four in their respective schools under the supervision of assistant district officer concerned. Similarly, in middle schools the headmasters concerned will be responsible to hold examination of class six and seven as well as of class five of the feeding primary schools.

They said that the SLD department would assign the task of preparation of question papers of different subjects from first to four class to a committee composed of selective trainer teachers and mentor teachers of the primary schools.

“The heads of the primary schools will ensure marking of answer papers, grading of students, compilation of result and its proper entry into the examination register as well as announcement of results in the morning assembly on May 31 the last day of the academic session 2007-08”, the sources said.

The heads of primary and middle schools will receive the examination results of both 5th and 8th classes, respectively from the principal and headmaster of their cluster high and higher secondary school and will announce the same on May 31 along with the results of other classes, the sources concluded.
