KARACHI, March 14: Six gold medals will be up for grabs in the two-day 15th All Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Trophy gymnastics championship which begins at the Sindh Sports Board complex on Saturday.

Gymnasts belonging to five affiliated units of the Pakistan Gymnastics Federation (PGF) namely holders Wapda, Police, Punjab, Balochistan and hosts Sindh will compete for the honours.

Pakistan Army has opted out from the event due to security concerns so does Railways and NWFP. All the outstation teams have already reached the city.

The event, which is an annual feature of Sindh Gymnastics Association (SGA), will take place in floor exercise, pomled horse, parallel bar, roman ring, high bar and vault.

Meanwhile, the SGA on Friday named a six-member team for the event.
