OKARA, March 13: A motorcyclist was killed after kite string cut his throat near Sheikh Basti on GT Road.

Twenty-five-year-old Hafiz Ghulam Murtaza, father of a minor girl, was on his way to the city railway station to buy a ticket when a metal kite string cut his throat near Sheikh Basti. He was taken to the district hospital where he breathed his last late on Wednesday night. He was a resident of the Adda Gamber locality.

DEMAND: The Pak-Christian Ittehad Welfare Society has asked the district government to ensure adequate supply of edibles to utility stores on March 23, the day when Christians will observe Easter. The society also condemned Tuesday’s suicide attacks in Lahore and offered special prayers for the victims.
