LARKANA, March 3: The PPP-backed nazim of Awam Dost Panel (ADP), Abdul Raheem Bughio of the union council Warah, was unseated after a no-confidence motion moved against him was passed with majority votes on Monday.
Mohammed Salah Chandio, a councilor of Khushhal Pakistan Panel (KPP), had moved the no-confidence motion against the nazim while Mohammed Saffar Sodhar seconded it.
The motion came in for voting in the house of 13 in the presence of returning officer judicial magistrate-I, Mr Ghanhwar Khan Gadhe. The nazim and his three supporters chose abstention while nine councillors backed the proposal.The motion was carried with majority of votes.
Earlier, the no-confidence motion was fixed on 26the and 29th February but the voting could not be held as the nazim avoided to attend the session, sources said.
BISE: The employees of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Larkana, continued their protest and locked out their offices on Monday while talks remained inconclusive between the management of BISE and the union leaders.
