Aptma plea


KARACHI, March 3: The All-Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) has urged the government to cut petroleum development surcharge and sales tax on oil products to reduce their prices in the country. In a statement, Aptma Chairman Iqbal Ebrahim suggested that the burden of these taxes can be shifted to other products, which have no effect on industrial competitiveness and common man. He said that export-oriented sector had been facing shortage of power and gas.---APP
