Port Qasim

KARACHI, March 3: Two ships carrying wheat and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, another ship with diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 80 per cent at the wharves where eight ships, Palermo, CMA CGM Turkey, Star Gamma, Halis Kalkavan, Lotus, Liquid Sucess, Yanaseni and Anastasia, were busy in loading and unloading containers, wheat, crude oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 77,019 tons comprising 53,019 tons of import and 14,000 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was slow as only CMA CGM Turkey left the port while five others were expected to depart Monday.
