Ex-PSB DG dies

LAHORE, Feb 25: Former Director General Pakistan Sports Board, Brig (retd) Saulat Abbas died in Syria on Saturday.

Saulat expired on Saturday in Syria where he was on visit to Holy Shrines. He remained Director General, Pakistan Sports Board from Feb 14, 2000 to Sept 13, 2003.

He was responsible for formulating the first ever national sports policy.

His body was expected to reach Lahore on Monday night.

The funeral will be held at his native town Muhmmadipur Madina, District Gujrat on Tuesday.
