KARACHI: Release of BNP leader sought

KARACHI, Feb 24: The Balochistan National Party on Sunday staged a protest demo against the ongoing military operation in Balochistan and detention of Sardar Akhtar Mengal and other Baloch nationalists.

Holding placards and banners, a large number of Baloch youths gathered outside the Karachi Press Club to demand his release.

Hameed Sajnaney said that Mr Mengal was being subjected to severe torture in Landhi prison. He also demanded an end to the ongoing military operation in Kohlu, Dera Bugti and other areas of Balochistan.—PPI
