KARACHI, Feb 9: Three ships carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

In the meantime, two more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, Maersk Novazzano, Zabrjad, John GR, Theodosia, Yanaseni and Al-Soor-II, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, clinker, wheat, chemicals and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 98,340 tons comprising 72,087 tons of import and 26,253 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was slow as only one vessel, Theodosia, left the port while Al-Soor-II was due to depart.
