HYDERABAD, Feb 8: A large number of activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz and JSSF (organising committee) here on Friday staged a protest demonstration outside the press club against the continued incarceration of Dr Safdar Sarki, a central leader of the JSQM.

Speaking on the occasion the member of the JSQM organising committee, Sirai Qurban Khuhawar, JSSF leader Roplo Choliani and others said that the sessions court in Zhob had granted bail to Dr Safdar Sarki in three cases but when his lawyers went to jail with the release order, they were surprised to learn that the bail of Dr Sarki had been cancelled by the Balochistan high court.

They said that the continued imprisonment of Dr Sarki was a flagrant violation of human rights.

Dr Sarki was living in a solitary confinement and his life was in grave danger, they added.

They vowed the nationalists will not give up the mission of G.M. Syed.

They announced that an urgent meeting of the organising committee had been convened which will evolve future course of action.

Meanwhile, the members of the Jeay Sindh Students Federation’s Mehran University of Engineering and Technology’s chapter staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Friday against the 10 per cent increase in fees by the university.

They said the increase in fee had created many problems for poor students and it was a conspiracy to deprive them of their right to education.

They demanded that the decision to increase the fee should be withdrawn.
