PESHAWAR, Jan 21: A rocket fired from unknown location exploded near Shalman Park in Hayatabad here on Sunday night.

Residents of G-3 Sector in Phase 2 of Hayatabad told Dawn that the rocket fell with a big bang. It hit the house of Shahid Hayat, slightly damaging its boundary wall.

Local police suspect that the rocket might be fired from the nearby tribal area. However, they were not sure about exact location. SSP operations, Syed Imtiaz Shah, when contacted expressed ignorance about the incident.—Bureau Report
