KOHAT, Jan 6: Thousands of gallons of oil of the Pakistan State Oil at a local storage facility was burnt along with a godown in an attack carried out by terrorists on Sunday night.

Witnesses said the terrorists fired three shots at the godown where oil was stored in open containers and in small drums. The entire oil was burnt and huge fire turned godown into ashes, ASP Vaqas quoted two retired army security guards as saying.

Luckily, saboteurs did not fire at petrol or diesel storage tanks otherwise it would have resulted in huge blasts and fire, the ASP said.

Fire tenders rushed to the scene from Tehsil Municipal Administration, PAF base, and Friendship tunnel but by the time of their arrival most of the oil was burnt.
