KARACHI, Jan 5: Ten ships carrying containers and palm oil and to load cement, clinkers and naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, St Irene, to unload and load containers, Pacific Express to unload steel cargo, Pacific Arrow to load cement, Chemstar Brave to offload chemicals and Johar to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which departed were led by Oriental Protea, Lalazar, Harmony, Mir Damad, Bolan, Nafto Cement and Eric G. Gibson, while Mrc Coral, St Irene, Hanjin, Port Adelaide, Johar, Chemstar Brave, Pacific Express, S Kala-1 and Pacific Arrow are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.122m tons, comprising 13,794 tons of export cargo and 0.108m tons of import tonnage, was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Gulf Grace to load 45,000 tons of naphtha, Geminin, with 15,000 tons of palm oil, Oriental Express, with general cargo, Itha Bhum, Emirates Adam, Global Prince, Oel Strength, Norasia Alps, and Noor-i-Madina, with containers.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Raissa Aye, with 10,000 tons of palm oil, Wan Hai-302, and Mol Admiration, with containers.
