More PPP men join PML-Q


LAHORE, Dec 23: PML Punjab president Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday said the Jan 8 sun would bring victory for his party which established Pakistan and would save it.

He was talking to PPP candidates who joined the PML after a meeting with Pervaiz Elahi here at his residence.

Those who joined the party included Haji Hafeezur Rehman, brother of Lahore PPP president Haji Azizur Rehman Chan, Mian Tahir Siddique, nephew of Haji Chan and PPP candidate for PP-144, Chaudhry Ibrar Warriach, candidate from NA-123 and senior vice-president of People’s Youth Organisation, Mirza Khalid Baig, PPP vice-president (UC-35), Syed Fayyaz Husain, joint secretary (PP-144), Rana Ashraf, president (UC-34), Aslam Buddy, vice-president (UC-34), Rana Bashir, councillor, Badr Sultana, labour councillor (UC-37), Rubina Manzoor, councillor (UC-37), Saeeda Bibi, labour councillor (UC-37), Tasawwar Awan, PYO president, Masood Papa, PYO vice-president, Mushtaq Chishti, former president (UC-16), and Zafar Bhatti, secretary-general (PP-143).

Haji Hafeezur Rehman Chan, brother of Aziz Chan, said owing to the wrong policies of the party leadership they had joined the PML. —Staff Reporter
