HARIPUR, Dec 3: The nomination papers of 42 candidates were cleared by returning officers here on Monday.

There are eight candidates in the field for the lone National Assembly seat (NA-19) in the district and the returning officers cleared the papers of all the candidates except that of Sardar Rauf of the PPP, who withdrew them.

Nomination papers of nine candidates, who filed papers for PF-49, were found to be in order. The papers of 12 candidates, including two women, were cleared for PF-50 while papers of seven candidates were okayed for PF-51. For the provincial constituency PF-52 Ghazi, seven papers were found to be in order.
