Australian CA deficit
SYDNEY, Dec 1: Australia’s current account deficit narrowed to $15.59 billion (US$13.80 billion) in the three months to September, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) said on Friday.
Market expectations were for a deficit of about $16.40 billion and the number compared with a revised figure of $15.62 billion in the three months to June.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics said the deficit on the balance of goods and services rose $522 million, or 14 per cent, to $4.39 billion.
The income deficit fell $471 million, or 4.0 per cent, to $11.15 billion.—AFP
