TAXILA, Nov 26: The Gurdwara Punjab Sahib in Hassanabdal on Monday echoed with the slogans of “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh” as thousands of the Sikh devotees swamped the place to perform their religious rituals, especially the yatra of Guru Nanak’s handprint.
Over 4,300 Indian Sikh yatrees travelling in four special trains arrived in Hassanabdal late Sunday night and were welcomed by the officials of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and members of the Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (GPC).
The pilgrims are currently on a holy visit to Pakistan in connection to the 539th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh religion.
