Kurd being shifted to Quetta

RAWALPINDI, Nov 25: Ali Ahmed Kurd, vice-president of Supreme Court Bar Association who had been languishing in Jhelum jail since the imposition of the emergency rule in the country, has been shifted to Adiala jail.

A source said Mr Kurd would be flown to Quetta on Monday, where he would file his nomination papers for the upcoming general elections.

The Adiala jail authorities confirmed that Kurd had been shifted to the jail from Jhelum and arrangements were being made for his shifting to Quetta.
