QUETTA, Nov 14: Gas supply from half a dozen wells to the main Sui purification plant was suspended after a pipeline was blown up in Dera Bugti district late on Wednesday night.

According to officials, the explosives had been planted under the 14-inch diameter pipeline near the Bugti Colony and the blast damaged a five-foot portion. The officials said that the functioning of the plant was not affected because it was receiving supply from other gas wells.

In Khuzdar, the district office of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League was damaged in an explosion on Wednesday night.

According to police, the explosion was caused by a home-made device. Some nearby houses were also damaged. No casualty was reported.
