The case was being tried inside the jail by ATC judge against the accused.

On Monday, Baladi denied all charges against him during his statement under Section 164 Cr.PC before a judicial magistrate.

Court dismisses applications: Justice Ms Qaiser Iqbal of Sindh High Court Hyderabad circuit bench dismissed several applications in different matters here on Tuesday for non-prosecution as lawyers didn’t appear before the court because of their ongoing protest on the call of Pakistan Bar Council.

The office of the court had fixed 55 cases before Justice Ms Qaiser Iqbal who had taken fresh oath under PCO.

The lawyers who have been observing one hour token strike in lower courts were not appearing before the judges of Sindh High Court ever since imposition of emergency.Justice Ms Iqbal had also passed orders on some matters in which the two parties were present but their counsels didn’t appeared before the court.

The only lawyer who seemed to have defied the PBC’s call by appearing before SHC was Mr Mohammad Azeem Panwhar.

His two criminal revision applications were pending before the court on which the court issued notices.

The lawyers held their general body meeting during the boycott of proceedings and then appeared in lower courts accordingly.
