TIMERGARA: Lawyers keep up protests

By Haleem Asad

TIMERGARA, Nov 10: The lawyers on Saturday kept up the momentum in their ongoing struggle against the state of emergency.

Members of the district bar association boycotted court proceedings and set up a hunger strike camp in front of the district bar room. They said their hunger strike would continue until the acceptance of their demands.

Meanwhile, the Timergara police have registered a case under the 16 MPO against Maulana Ahmad Ghafoor of the Jamaat-i-Islami, former MPA Muzaffar Said, Hazrat Rahman of the Timergara Bar Association, Muhammad Ayub of the Awami National Party, Badshah Nawab of the Islami Jamiat-i-Talaba and others.
