KARACHI: Doctors’ stipends

KARACHI, Nov 3: The Sindh government on Saturday announced enhancement of the monthly stipend of doctors proceeding on postgraduate training, from Rs6,210 to Rs12,000 with immediate effect. The period will be treated as EOL without pay instead of in-service deputation to all such doctors who have been enrolled in all the postgraduate programmes. During the period, recruitment will be made on a contract basis against the post of leave vacancies created in consequence to granting leave without pay to these doctors and the contract period will be extended till the rejoining of the doctors on leave to the health department.

The doctors proceeding on leave without pay will keep contributing all deductions as admissible under the law.—PPI
