BANGKOK, Oct 22: Thailand’s exports jumped 10.4 per cent year-on-year in September on the back of steady European demand for hi-tech goods and agricultural products, the commerce ministry said on Monday.
Exports, the main driver of the Thai economy, totalled $13.27bn, while imports were up 7.4pc at $11.31bn, resulting in a trade surplus of $1.96bn in the month.Exports, which account for 60 per cent of the Thai economy, are expected to grow by 13 per cent in 2007. —AFP
