Pakistan U-19s make clean sweep

MIRPUR (Azad Kashmir), Oct 12: Led by Adil Raza’s fine bowling and Ahmed Shahzad’s excellent batting, Pakistan Under-19s thrashed their Australian counterparts by nine wickets in the fifth and final one-dayer to record a clean sweep here on Friday.

Electing to bat first, the tourists could only post 128 all out in 30.4 overs. Only DE O’Brien with 41 resisted. For Pakistan U-19s Adil Raza claimed four wickets for 36.In reply, the hosts, led by Ahmed Shahzad’s magnificent unbeaten knock of 99 that included 18 fours, reached the target in 23.2 overs while only losing the wicket of captain Imad Wasim who was lbw by Hazelwood for 1.
