PESHAWAR, Oct 9: The PCB National Inter-school cricket championship will be played in the first week of November.

According to PCB media release issued on Tuesday, 788 schools from 108 districts of the country will participate in the championship which comprises three stages – district, regional and national.

At the initial district level, 686 matches will be played on the knockout basis. In the regional stage, 150 matches of 40 overs each will be played on league basis.

The final stage comprises 50-over 26 matches.

Cash prize of Rs100,000 will be given to winners of the tournament whereas runners-up will pocket Rs50,000.

The PCB has decided to distribute kit bags among winners of the district competition.—APP
