Ishfaq’s death anniversary observed

ISLAMABAD, Sept 7: The Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) on Friday held a literary reference in the memory of prominent fiction writer Ishfaq Ahmed on the occasion of his third death anniversary.

The reference was presided over by PAL Chairman Iftikhar Arif. Mohammad Anwar Khan, Rashid Hameed, Nighat Saleem, Asim Butt, Tariq Shahid, Mehar Ali, Ali Yasir, Khurram Khirram and Akhter Raza Slaeemi expressed their views on the occasion.

Writers and intellectuals of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi prayed for the salvation of Ishfaq’s soul.

Meanwhile, in the annual session of Halqa-i-Arbab Zauq, Fateha was offered for Ishfaq Ahmed.
