BADIN: Oil company’s services for community lauded

By Our Correspondent

BADIN, Sept 3: District Nazim Ali Anwar Halepoto said on Monday that the British Petroleum Pakistan was bound to bring a positive change in the lives of people of its concession area by enhancing access to quality education, particularly for girls.

He said at a ceremony for handing over keys of a van the company had donated to Matli Girls College on Monday that the company’s services for community welfare in the district were commendable.

Rashid Rafique, head of communication and external affairs department of the company, said that the BPP had earlier provided equipment for the chemistry laboratory and a refrigerator to the college, which was constructed by the company at the cost of Rs10 million in 1994.

The company had also established a computer centre in the college.
