HYDERABAD, Aug 31: Additional Relief Commissioner Sindh has forecast dust/thunderstorm and rain at many places in Southern Sindh with possibility of heavy rains during next 2-3 days. He quoted the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s report. He said probability of rainfall in Karachi was 40 per cent.

He had advised the DCOs of Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas and Tharparkar district to adopt precautionary measures for protection of life and property of people.

He said sewerage/drainage/dewatering systems should be kept functional to avoid accumulation of rainwater in low-lying and slum areas.
