PESHAWAR, Aug 31: The Jagran Power House, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, has been closed on an emergency basis for carrying out the necessary repair work.

Due to the closure of the power house, the Peshawar Electric Supply Company is facing a shortfall of 20MW TO 40MW of electricity in Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram and Bisham districts, besides many parts of Azad Kashmir.

An additional load management schedule for short intervals will be implemented in the affected areas.

Efforts are being made to complete the repair work at the earliest, said a handout.

However, consumers of the affected areas are being requested to cooperate with the utility, said the press release.—APP
