NEW DELHI, Aug 29: Pakistan’s diplomatic missions in several countries have been indulging in anti-India propaganda and facilitating terrorists, Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee told parliament on Wednesday.

“The government is aware of Pakistan High Commissions spreading anti-India propaganda. Instances of these missions facilitating terrorists have also come to notice,” Mr Mukherjee told the Lok Sabha in a written response to a question.

He said the issue of involvement of Pakistan’s missions in anti-India activities had been taken up with the host governments concerned.

Mr Mukherjee was asked whether the government was aware of the alleged anti-India propaganda by the Pakistan’s diplomatic missions based in other countries and the alleged protection being provided to terrorists by them.

In reply to a separate question, Mr Mukherjee said the government was aware of concerns expressed by some countries about organisations within Pakistan that provide sanctuary to terrorists for cross-border activities.

He said a joint anti-terror mechanism to identify and implement counter-terrorism initiatives and investigations is in place to address these issues.
