HYDERABAD, Aug 24: Corps Commander, Lieutenant Gen-eral Ahsan Azhar Hayat witnessed the troops mastering battle drills during summer exercise the ‘Desert Hawk’ near Kotri on Fridays, said an ISPR press release.

Troops were found training in war-like situation in offensive and defensive operations with a view to practicing modern techniques of arms employment, tactics, and use of terrain and sophisticated weapons.

On arrival at Kotri Ranges, the Corps Commander was briefed by Brig Ghulam Murtaza on conduct and methodology of the exercise.

The exercise organised for combined arms practice will examine physical and mental endurance along with operational readiness of troops under trying and rough conditions.

Lieutenant General Ahsan Azhar Hayat appreciated the performance of troops and urged them to enhance their skills as this had proved a cutting edge in modern-day warfare.

Later, Crops Commander visited the troops of Artillery Regiment and showed keen interest in drills and procedures adopted for integrated operations.

Earlier, on arrival in the exercise area, the Corps Commander was received by General Officer Commanding Major General Abdul Aziz Tariq.

Exam schedule: Con-troller Examinations, University of Sindh here on Friday, announced the schedule of submission of examination forms for college side external and regular candidates under the Annual Examination 2007.

According to schedule, examination forms to candidates of BA, BSc, B.Com, BSW, BSc (Home Economics) Part-I and II Regular (Fresh and Failure), BA (Pass) Part-I External (Failure), BA (Pass) Part-II External (Fresh and Failure), MA Previous External (Failure) and MA Final (Fresh and Failure) will be issued from Sept 1.

Interested candidates had been advised to obtain examination forms from respective degree colleges.

Last date for submission of examination forms without late fee had been fixed Sept 29.

Revised examination forms of the university can be had from all affiliated degree colleges of the university.

Meanwhile, the controller also announced the schedule for submission of examination forms under postgraduate classes by regular candidates for the Annual Examination 2006.

Examination forms for MA, MSc, M.Com Previous and Final classes can be obtained by candidates from respective postgraduate degree colleges from Aug 25.

Last date for submission of examination forms without late fee had been fixed Sept 10.

He had advised the candidates to obtain their admit cards from respective EDOs education.
