KARACHI: Students’ week from Oct 22


KARACHI, Aug 22: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi will organize a students’ week from October 22 at the conference hall of the board office.

A Husne Qirat competition will be organized on the opening day which will be followed by a Naat Khawani contest on Oct 23. Speech competitions in English and Urdu will be held on Oct 24 and 25.

The topic for Urdu speech is: Pakistan very much needs a uniform system of education.

The topic for English speech is: Life would be miserable without the benefits of science.

Each student contesting for national and folk songs, scheduled for Oct 27, will be given three minutes for a solo performance without musical instruments.

The heads of recognized secondary government and private schools can nominate five students – one for each event.—APP
