KARACHI, Aug 21: Six ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Pu He, MOL Ability, Kapitan Byankin, to unload and load containers, and Yordan Lutibrodski to offload DAP fertiliser were berthed on Tuesday.

Sailing on the other hand was on the higher side as eight ships departed. They are: Vema Ocean, Conti Germany, B.Thunder, Lightning, Al-Waqkra, Ibrahim-G, and Eric G. Gibson.

Seven others including Hanjin Ningbo, Artistry, Pu He, Havi Trader, Kapitan Byankin, Planet Ace, and Cruiser are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total volume of 69,615 tons comprising 20,111 tons of export cargo and 49,504 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Lalazar, with crude oil, Corin Thaikos, Y.M.Fortune, Hyundai Highway, with containers Sea Princess, to load 18,000 tons of cement and Beluga Fascination, with project cargo.
