KARACHI, Aug 3: Former international sailor Capt. R. J. Afzal recently took charge as secretary, Pakistan Sailing Federation (PSAF). He succeeded Cdr. Navaid Usmani. The 43-year-old incumbent secretary has represented the country at the 1990 Beijing Asian Games, two Asian regattas at South Korea in 1985 and Hong Kong in 1991 besides numerous other trips abroad in connection with sailing activities.

He is also a former national Enterprise champion (1988), an ISAF qualified coach and former national Optimist coach.
