Karachi ranking TT from 9th

KARACHI, Aug 3: Several upcoming players will be seen in action when a Karachi ranking juniors U-18 table tennis tournament takes place at the Rangers Sports Complex from Aug 9 to 13.

The event is being held under the aegis of the Karachi Table Tennis Association (KTTA) in collaboration with Rangers. It has been sponsored by famous orthopedic surgeon Dr Mohammad Ali Shah, chairman KTTA, Dr Farhan Essa, said.

This is the second event to take place at the newly created facility in North Nazimabad in a short span of time, the first being a local squash contest.

The event will be held in boys and girls singles only. Winners of both categories are set to earn Rs5,000 each while the runners-up will get Rs3,000 apiece. The last date for submission of entries is Aug 7 at the venue or to tournament secretary, Zulfiqar Ahmed, on his mobile 0321-2007079.
