KARACHI: ‘Five more flyovers to be built’

KARACHI, July 31: City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that the construction of five flyovers at the signal free corridor II would be initiated soon. Addressing a high-level meeting at his office on Tuesday, he said utility services providers should assign three teams to carry out the shifting of utilities from Nagan Chowrangi to Sharea Faisal to ensure uninterrupted work on the corridor in the least possible time.

He asked consultants to take immediate measures to provide pedestrian bridges, bus shelters, U-turns, greenery, tree planting and beautification to this corridor.

He instructed that the construction of alternate routes as permanent roads for traffic should be completed before the start of work.—PPI
