KHAR, July 12: Three seminary students killed in the Lal Masjid operation were buried in the Nawagai area near Afghan border on Thursday. A large number of people and militants from the Bajaur and Mohmand agencies attended the funeral, witnesses said.

The bodies of Nazir Khan, son of Latif; Imran, son of Fazl Gul; and Ijaz, son of Gul Mohammad, residents of the remote Nawagai area, were brought from Islamabad.

MNA Maulana Mohammad Sadiq and a local militant commander Maulana Inayetur Rehman on the occasion criticised the government for conducting the military operation and termed it the worst violation of human rights.

They claimed that the government had planned to crush religious groups.
