KARACHI, July 3: One of the two young men, shot dead late Monday night in Al Falah, was an activist of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement who was recently released from jail after serving a nine-year imprisonment. The two young men were thrown out from a hi-roof near Annum Home in Al Falah police limits and shot in the head by assailants. Both the deceased were identified by their families on Tuesday.
Police said that Ansar Ahmed, 25, was a resident of Korangi 100 Quarters. He was an active worker of the MQM who was recently released from the jail. However, the other victim was a rickshaw driver, identified as Fahim, 20. Father of two children, he was a resident of Liaquatabad.
According to the police, they were kidnapped early Monday morning. Police have registered a case against unknown suspects.
Cops nabbed
The anti-corruption establishment on Tuesday arrested a sub-inspector of the investigation wing, posted in Darakhshan police station, along with a constable, posted in Qambar police station, while taking bribe from a travel agency in cantonment area.
