Rains continue to lash Sindh

HYDERABAD/KARACHI, June 30: Moderate to heavy rains continued to lash different parts of Sindh on Saturday. However, no reports of rain-related fatalities were received from anywhere.

Reports reaching here said 30 houses collapsed in the Dadu district.

The rain started in the evening in and around Hyderabad, Dadu, Nawabshah, Khairpur, Sanghar, Jacobabad and Mirpurkhas, and continued for more than half an hour.

In different areas of Karachi, the rain started at around 3:30pm.

Rainwater inundated major roads in the city, including I.I. Chundrigar Road, M.A. Jinnah Road, University Road, Sharea Faisal and Shahrah-i-Liaquat. A section of Sharea Faisal was closed for traffic.
