HYDERABAD: ‘Detail of contracts sent to NAB’

By Our Correspondent

HYDERABAD, June 9: The district government has send details of all contracts to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and other concerned departments, says the outgoing DCO and the managing director of the Hyderabad Development Project (HDP).

He said this while talking to journalists at the press club on Saturday. Conceding delay in the HDP work, he said, media people can obtain details and judge themselves the reason for it.

The DCO Sarfaraz Ali Shah had been transferred from Hyderabad and posted special secretary to the Sindh chief minister.

He said the two filter plants were part the HDP and will be commissioned in August and October to supply of filtered water to residents. He said people had been facing serious issues because of sewerage and drainage networks.

He said people would benefit once these projects were completed. Work on two filter plants had entered into final stage, he said and added: One filter plant was based in Paretabad, while the other in Hala Naka.He said that he tried his best to give his city a new look in the capacity of the project director.

He said new corridors will come into existence along with three water channels giving a fresh look to canals and the plan to build roads on both sides of Akram Wah was part of the Annual Development Programme (ADP).

He said Wadhu Wah too would have a flyover project soon. He said he wanted a road from Kotri barrage right up to Kohsar.

The projects underway will enter into final phase of completion by December, he said.
