Wapda honours athletes

LAHORE, June 8: Wapda sports authorities have claimed that their ultimate target was to win the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy in the National Games for which a comprehensive strategy had been chalked out.

Wapda Sports Board president Brig Najam-us-Saqib said in a prize distribution ceremony in which 226 athletes were honoured for winning medals in the 30th National Games held in Karachi in April this year.

In all Wapda, claimed 88 gold, 55 silver and 83 bronze medals to remain runners-up as traditional winners Army annexed the trophy.
