LAHORE, June 6: Senator Enver Beg on Wednesday filed a privilege motion against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf for passing derogatory remarks against him at a press conference.

Talking to Dawn Enver said that he returned from India on Tuesday and came to know through newspapers that Dr Nasim Ashraf called him a ‘sick man’ at a press conference.

“Using such remarks against a member of the Senate is unfair, adding that he (Enver) has filed a privilege motion against Dr Nasim Ashraf,” the Senator stated.

Enver added that he had staged a token hunger strike against the false promises of the PCB chief for not implementing board’s new constitution. But instead of fulfilling his promises by implementing the constitution the PCB chairman had started using derogatory remarks against him, Enver said.

The PCB has also announced that it would move the court of law against Enver for calling the PCB chairman an ‘intellectual dishonest’.

Enver said he was also waiting the PCB to move the court of law against him for using the words of ‘intellectual dishonest’ against Dr Nasim, saying: “I will prove the PCB chairman is an ‘intellectual dishonest’ in the court.”
